Surfing and outdoors
Newquay is world famous for surfing. It's beaches namely, Fistral and Watergate Bay play host each year to the World Championships attracting competitors from as far as Africa and Japan. Named as the best beach for surfing in The Independent, Fistral really is the place to go if you want to experience surfing at its best.
For those of you who may want to learn how to surf in a little more privacy, or for those not quite ready for the long board, there are a number of smaller beaches (Towen, Great Western and Tolcarne) around the Cornish cost line and plenty of surf schools to help you become the next Kelly Slater!
